Consistency is a screening criterion

Write the profile for search
Recruiters find candidates by keyword. Put the role title you want in your headline and repeat the core skills naturally in the about section and in each role description.
Don't paste your CV in
The profile does a different job — it should feel like a conversation:
- Headline: target role plus one differentiator
- About: three short paragraphs in first person
- Each role: two or three of the strongest achievement bullets only
- Skills: the twelve terms that appear most in your target job ads
Refresh it before you apply, not after
Update the profile the same day you update your CV. Applications often get reviewed within 48 hours, and a stale profile undercuts a freshly tailored resume.
